Kreigslust , you are right to say that the thundrbirds film will be tailor made for american audiences , but what makes it different from the likes of harry potter is that the movies source material (the tv show ) only has a mere cult following in america while in england its considered a classic .

So as a result of this, the show will be promoted HEAVILY in da UK and will no doubt will do far better than it will in the US .

And although people on this message board and others like us will know that the film isnt really a 100% british operation , do you really think the most of the film going public will know , or even care ? HELL FUCKIN NO !! if they see a film where the characters are speaking in british accents , and most of the action is taking place in england , they will think , no, beleive , no , KNOW that its a british film that they are watching(regardless of where its from).

Thunderbirds is a British film (Ish) its being made by working title films. But working title dont have the power to distriubute hence why universal have a logo in the trailer.
